Arrange a Food Drive:
The Pantry of Broward distributes
crisis food boxes to seniors who are in need. An estimated 50 boxes a week will
be distributed during 2008 – a number that will increase as the program grows.
We need food to fill those boxes! Please help organize a food drive in your
place of work, your place of worship, in your neighborhood or condo. You can
collect dry foods such as pastas, cereals, etc, plus canned goods such as meat,
fish or vegetables which will then be sorted into the food boxes and distributed

Arrange a Fund Raising event to
benefit The Pantry of Broward:
There are many fun ways you can raise
support for The Pantry of Broward. The following are some successful ideas that
have been used in the past, but please let us have your winning events so we can
share them with others!
- Web Sponsored Events or
Celebrations. Instead of another pair of socks for your birthday or an
anniversary card, ask people to make a donation to The Pantry of Broward through
your own personalized and secure webpage. The Pantry of Broward has an easy to
use personalized online program for your use. You can easily track your

Make a Gift of Stock:
The Pantry of Broward accepts stock donation. Giving appreciated stock is a
fast and easy way to make a gift to the The Pantry of Broward and receive tax

Donate your Vehicle:
Would you like to donate your car, trailer, boat or RV to The Pantry of Broward?
Simply call the The Pantry of Broward at (954) 358-1481 and ask for the car
donation form. Once completed, fax the donation form back to us at (954)
358-1483. We will contact you to make arrangements to pick-up your vehicle at no
cost to you. All title and transfers requirements will be taken care of by The
Pantry, and you will be provided with a tax-deductible donation receipt at the
time of pick-up.
Employer Gift Match:
You can double or sometimes triple your gift to the The Pantry of Broward when
your employer matches your contribution. Please contact your human resources
department to see if your employer has a matching gifts program and send the
necessary paperwork to us!
Planned Giving and Bequest:
Some
gifts not only help The Pantry of Broward but they also provide you with a
charitable income tax deduction, minimize capital gains taxes, reduce real
estate taxes, or provide you or others with an annual income for life. To learn
