Broward Black Elected
Officials' (BBEO) President and Members of the Board visited The Pantry
of Broward right before Christmas to learn about the work of the agency
and to provide some economic support. The BBEO is an organization to
launch and sustain a collective strength to improve the greater
community of Broward County. Their generous support for those served by
The Pantry of Broward is much appreciated and we look forward to working
with all their membership in 2009. Please visit

The Bank of America Foundation made a
generous $ 10,000 donation to The Pantry of Broward in December. This
support, together with that of our donors and food drive participants,
allowed The Pantry of Broward to provide over 400 special holiday boxes
these past few weeks. Thanks to everyone's generous support, all of our
hundreds of seniors and grandparents received either a turkey or a ham
for their Christmas boxes and turkeys were distributed at Thanksgiving.
Thank you all for spreading so much kindness to those who would
otherwise have gone without. (Photo: Bank of America Executives Linda
