Residents of Margate, zip code 33063, donated 21,780 lbs of non-perishable food on May 9th during the Letter Carriers Food Drive. During this annual event, the public left donated food items by their mail box which was collected by the letter carriers and taken to the Margate post office.

There were over 20 volunteers from The Pantry of Broward that worked hard all day and into the evening sorting, packing and delivering the food to The Pantry warehouse.

"We are delighted and so grateful for the outpouring of support from the people of Margate during this food drive," exclaimed Penny Loughan, CEO of The Pantry of Broward. "This amount of food will be a great help in allowing us to support and serve our clients."
