How You Can Help
VOLUNTEER
The Pantry of Broward
is able to function efficiently and effectively thanks to our volunteers and
donors. People who volunteer are literally taking the time to care. They share a
few hours a week or a month helping us to pack food boxes, make phone calls,
delivering food boxes or helping out wherever the need is greatest. Your time is
very valuable to us and you will be put to work!
Please review some of the generally available volunteer positions listed below
and send us an email or call us at (954) 358-1481 so we can arrange an interview
and put you to work! High school seniors are welcome to earn service hours at
The Pantry of Broward. If you have a specific project idea you would
like to implement to help The Pantry of Broward, we would love to
hear from you too!”

Community Outreach |
Help us make
The Pantry of
Broward better known in our community! Help set up speaking
engagements in local service clubs, schools, and groups. Arrange for
an invitation to a media interview or community meeting to speak about the
agency's work. Write and call your legislators when asked regarding
issues affecting the elderly poor and those grandparents raising
grandchildren. Get people involved! |

Special Events |
Help
with advertising, marketing, logistics, and any of the multiple committees
it takes to pull off a special event. You don't have to volunteer regularly
to be a big help! |

Pantry Assistant |
Help us in the pantry to unpack donated boxes of food and sort them onto the
shelves. Help pack food boxes and distribute them to our elderly
clients. A great way to get some good exercise and help others at the
same time! |
|
Warehouse Assistant |
Help us keep the warehouse clean and safe and the next door pantry well
stocked. Pack up boxes for recycling and keep the place spotless! |
|
Driver |
A
safe volunteer driver is needed to help collect and deliver food and run
short errands as needed. |
|
On-call “Emergency” Volunteer |
The
"I really need help with this and I don't have anyone else to call who I can
rely on...." assistant. Like we said, you don't have to volunteer regularly
to be a big help! |

Historian |
