Each year right before the Christmas holidays, The Pantry transforms part of its warehouse into a toy store filled with gifts for boys and girls of all ages. The grandparents we serve are invited to visit and “go shopping” for toys and gifts for their grandchildren. Our volunteers then wrap the gifts for the grandparents, sending them home with festive holiday gifts for the kids.

You can help make sure that The Pantry has plenty of unwrapped gifts or toys by holding a toy drive and letting us know approximately how many toys/gift cards you will be donating (so that we don’t purchase more than we need). Our toy store opens in mid-December, so please drop off your donations by then.

Suggestions for easing the selection:

For ages 2 – 12:
Toys, games, coloring books, puzzles, memory games, crafts

For ages 13 – 17:
Gift cards from such stores as Target, WalMart and Kmart are always appreciated by the teens because then they can use them to shop for what they really want.
