Each month The Pantry of Broward's staff and volunteers prepare over 600 nutritional food boxes for their clients, but this could not be possible without your help.

what we do

One of our missions is to improve our clients quality of life by relieving them from the stress of food insecurity.

We do this by providing them with a free, monthly, supplemental food box which lowers their risk of food insecurity and frees up their disposal funds for other much more needed expenses like rent, electricity, medical bills, etc. More than 600 individuals (including over 100 grandchildren) benefit from and depend upon our monthly food box program.

We lower their risk of food insecurity and free up some funds for other much needed items. More than 1,000 individuals (including 165+ grandchildren) benefit from and depend upon this food supplement
each month.

Each of our clients meet with one of our Program Service representatives regularly to review their individual needs and together they determine how The Pantry of Broward can best help them during these fast, unpredictable, changing times. Typical services provided include:

Assistance with SNAP Benefit Enrollment

Nutritional Food Monthly

Each month, The Pantry of Broward provides its 425 clients with a 55-pound box of nutritional food, including fresh fruits and vegetables and bread.

Guidance on Affordable Housing Resources

Affordable Housing

Many of our clients are in need of housing they can afford and/or repairs to their existing homes. The Pantry of Broward serves as a resource

Recommendations on Healthcare Providers

In Addition

We also assist our clients with guidance to affordable healthcare and medication, as well as try to assist them with their unique individual needs.

A Helping Hand

Grandparents thrust into the role of caring for their grandchildren often need assistance with obtaining benefits for those children and need legal custody.

Volunteering at The Pantry is so rewarding! The team is so nice, and it’s a warm,
welcoming environment. I spent the day helping to restock the shelves in the
warehouse and building the food boxes that get distributed.

Pantry Volunteer

Being a donor at The Pantry allows me to participate and give back to my
community. I am grateful to know that my support helps those in need.

Our organization loves working with The Pantry! We participate yearly in their
events, as well as hosting food drives throughout the year. We love to support
as much as we can and give back to this incredible organization.

As an employee at The Pantry, I have a direct view of the impacts this charity
has on our community. It is a wonderful thing to see what our work does
for our clients.

Staff Member

The Pantry of Broward has changed my life, and they have helped me put food
on the table for my grandchildren, helped me have a Thanksgiving meal for
them, back to school supplies, and even Christmas presents.
