what we do
One of our missions is to improve our clients quality of life by relieving them from the stress of food insecurity.
We do this by providing them with a free, monthly, supplemental food box which lowers their risk of food insecurity and frees up their disposal funds for other much more needed expenses like rent, electricity, medical bills, etc. More than 600 individuals (including over 100 grandchildren) benefit from and depend upon our monthly food box program.
We lower their risk of food insecurity and free up some funds for other much needed items. More than 1,000 individuals (including 165+ grandchildren) benefit from and depend upon this food supplement
Each of our clients meet with one of our Program Service representatives regularly to review their individual needs and together they determine how The Pantry of Broward can best help them during these fast, unpredictable, changing times. Typical services provided include:
Assistance with SNAP Benefit Enrollment
Nutritional Food Monthly
Each month, The Pantry of Broward provides its 425 clients with a 55-pound box of nutritional food, including fresh fruits and vegetables and bread.
Guidance on Affordable Housing Resources
Many of our clients are in need of housing they can afford and/or repairs to their existing homes. The Pantry of Broward serves as a resource
Recommendations on Healthcare Providers
We also assist our clients with guidance to affordable healthcare and medication, as well as try to assist them with their unique individual needs.
